Serrano Pepper Salsa

Serrano pepper is a type of chilli pepper so you are safe using your regular chilli pepper. This tantalizing fresh dip is purely Mexican but it reminds so much of me of Sunday stew during my growing up years. Feel free to add more chillies.

Ingredients

3 cup (s) Tomato 10 Pieces

1 pc (s) Onions – Red 7 Pieces

4 pc (s) Green Chilli – 170 g

2 pc (s) Garlic – 3 Bulbs

1 teaspoon(s) TRD Cumin Jeera Powder 100 g

1 teaspoon(s) Dried Ground Pepper 170 g

T teaspoon(s) Dangote Iodised Salt 250 g

4 pc(s) Parsley

Methods

  1. Combine 1 cup of tomatoes (diced and seeded), garlic (chopped), onions (diced), Serrano peppers (seeded and chopped) and parsley in a blender and pulse until well incorporated.
  2. Pour the salsa into a bowl and combine the remaining tomatoes (diced and seeded), cumin, ½ teaspoon pepper and ½ teaspoon salt and process in the blender at low speed for about 10 seconds.
  3. Pour into a bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve.
