Nollywood superstar, Nse Ikpe-Etim, has launched a skincare line called Eden’s Theory. Nse, who is a co-owner of the range, will also act as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for the UK-based company.
The actress whose performance as the fiery wife of a philandering husband in the 2008 movie, Reloaded, struck a cord with viewers, describes Eden Theory as vegan friendly. This is because the ingredients used for the products are sourced from Africa. Shedding more light on the inspiration before the beauty brand, she said,
“People always ask about my skin and hair. Many of them assume that I use very expensive products, but I have actually always used natural oils and butters. With Eden’s Theory, you get to retain the best bits of African butters while oozing some of your personality into a product of your choice.
“Eden’s Theory is renowned for their moisturizing and regenerating properties ethically sourced from cooperatives in Africa. Their products range from multi-functional hair and body products to skincare and fragrances. The range was one of the finalists at the 2016 Harrow Business Den in the UK.”
Speaking on how she has been coping as a wife and as an actress, she says, “Women have been working and married for several years now. It can be challenging, especially when it comes to time management, but the important thing is to have a firm grip on your priorities. I know what is important to me and I always strive to keep that in focus.
I don’t really go out. My schedule doesn’t give me a lot of downtime. So, when I do get some time off, I spend it with family, sleeping or reading a good book. I married my best friend. There are many romantic gestures to pick from. Perhaps, one day, I’ll write a book and tell it all. But until then, it remains my secret.”
