Popular Yoruba actress and record label owner, Laide Bakare says, motherhood has been her best experience ever.
Popular Yoruba actress Laide Bakare does not joke with her children. Indeed if there is one aspect of her life which she cherishes most, its her family. Although her husband is very private, Bakare enjoys being in the spotlight as well as the attention that comes with being a star. A mother of three, her two sons are from her husband Alhaji Oriowo while her daughter is from her previous marriage to Mr. Olumide Okufulire.
The 36-year-old movie who is committed to fighting the VVF scourge through her Laide Bakare Foundation, recently took to her Instagram page to share a photo with her cute daughter, Similoluwa Chelsea, with the caption, ”loves frozen, so do I#proveoflove. Kicking off Monday with great mood FAMZ.”
She says, “motherhood has been her best experience ever.My family comes first before everything I do. I am not so keen about money and then neglect my family. Family comes first and every other thing follows. I am grateful that has God shaped me into everything I wanted to be.”
On maintaining her privacy
I have never been known to make my personal life public knowledge. I cherish my home a lot because it is my source of happiness. News about my family would be of no benefit to anybody’s life but me.
I see myself as a goddess. I am lucky that God endowed me with so much beauty. I seldom apply make-up and when I do, it is for professional reasons. My skin has always been smooth, beautiful and spotless. I have never had a single pimple on my face or any part of my body. Why do I have to go through the trouble of wearing heavy make-up? I do not apply any special cream and I do not have a beauty routine.
Style to me means comfort. If I have to wear a dress, I make sure it is short; I do not like long dresses and I don’t like to wear skinny jeans. My favourite fashion accessories are wristwatches and bags.
