Ingredients

300 g noodles

1 pc ginger

2 pcs garlic

2 pcs carrot

1 pc onions

1 pc cabbage

1 tbsp white vinegar

1 tbsp honey

5 tbsp dark soy sauce

2 tbsp canola oil

1 pc lemon

300 g boneless chicken

1 tsp hot chilli sauce

 

Method

-Start by grating the ginger and garlic.

Dice the onions and cabbage then set aside.

-In a bowl, mix the vinegar, soy sauce, honey, 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, 2 tablespoons of grated garlic, 1 tablespoon of oil and the chicken.

-Leave to marinate for about 15 minutes.

Use a vegetable peeler to create ribbons from the carrot to fill one cup and set aside. Allow the noodles to sit in hot water for about 2 minutes then drain and set aside.

-Put 1 tablespoon of oil in the saucepan, remove the chicken from the marinade and fry for about 2 minutes and remove from the hot oil.

-Add 1 cup of diced onions and 1 cup of diced cabbage to the hot oil and stir-fry for 30 minutes.

-Add ¼ cup of water, scraping off the bits from the fried chicken. Add the drained noodles, chicken and reserved marinade to the saucepan, stir thoroughly, allow it to simmer until the noodles are cooked.

Serve with slices of lemon.
