Let me start by saying congratulations to parents, want to know why? The holiday is over and the children are going back to school.

But now that these children have resumed back to school, it is time for early morning breakfast and we have to pack lunch.

Want to know something more interesting? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it fuels the beginning of the school day.  After a good night of sleep, the brain and body need good meal to operate well.  Studies have shown that kids who eat breakfast perform better academically than kids who don’t.

Knowing breakfast is important is one, knowing the right kind of meal to give your child(ren) is also important, more importantly since the kids will be going out almost very early, the meal needs to be one that is easy and quick to make.

We have compiled a list of easy and quick breakfast that you should try, yea, they’ll definitely like it, you’ll be happy.

Scrambled eggs with toast bread and fruit:

It takes less than five minutes to make both the scrambled eggs and the toast, and your kids will love it, you might even get a peck from them.

Oatmeal:

This is such a versatile breakfast because there are so many options. It was recently discovered that you can actually cook it in the oven.  That way, you can start it when you wake up and not have to hover over it to make sure it isn’t boiling over in the microwave or on the stove, yea, a lot of us get our hands messy when making this meal. You can combine 1 cup of oatmeal, 2.5 cups of water, and a pinch of salt in a microwave-safe bowl that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes. When you take it out of the oven, you should stir in about a teaspoon of butter.

Toast bread:

Toast could be called the savior of breakfast for kids, you know why? It is easy and quick to make and it goes will almost anything, fruits like banana, oranges, kiwi, even omelet, etc.

Muffin:

Muffins can be made ahead or even bought at the right stores, then preserved in your freezers or refrigerator, and heated whenever you need them. Muffins can serve as the main meal or as a side.

Smoothie:

Getting some children to eat is tougher than ending the World War II; children like that can also have smoothies made for them. All you need are the fruits and your blender, and that’s it. There is a lot about bananas and other fruits, so why not try this for your children. As long as there is some type of milk or yogurt in the house, you can make smoothies.

Yogurt parfaits:

These are a classic breakfast for a reason. They are simple, delicious and fully customizable. Kids can make their own yogurt bowls at home. Just set out yogurt, fruit, granola, nuts or any other toppings you have and let them build their own. It’s quick and they’ll be happy to create their own masterpiece.
